We are off and running!
2016 is already happening. January is already gone. The old song says “time keeps on slippin-slippin-slippin”!
Speaking of time, a recent show that I did at a Federal Prison in Carrabelle, FL has prompted me to share with you some new insights about time.
Time is a strange thing! It is something we all have but view differently.
It is one thing we all have but spend differently. For example, I am “spending” this time right now writing this newsletter to you in the living room of my long time friend and ministry partner David Roddick.
Dave is spending this time detailing my car, his company is CRS Detailing!
Am I spending my time writing this newsletter or am I investing my time writing this newsletter? Are you spending your time reading this newsletter or are you investing your time reading this newsletter?
Most agree that the act of investing vs. spending differs greatly in that when we invest in something we expect a return or reward.
Is the time we make to be with our family time spent or time invested? Is the time we make to be in prayer with the Lord time spent or time invested?
I believe it can have a great effect on our attitude, if we see our efforts as an investment-in Galatians 6:7 we see-“for whatever a man sows that he will also reap”!
When people invest money they monitor it to see how much progress and if growth is happening. Time unlike money is an intangible. We can’t see it, feel it or even control it! We don’t even know how much of it we have!
During those prison shows, I SAW those inmates were DOING time—-interesting term huh?
A month before my shows, they were in lock down with no privileges because of a murder and a riot! During my show they very responsive praising God and even worshipping!
They actually helped me in a new way to appreciate, spend and invest my time.
Please pray about some upcoming ministry opportunities.
In the next few weeks, my time will be involved in doing two volunteer shows for Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville. They asked me and said all their money goes for the fundraiser for the children and they cannot pay me. I actually laughed and said that is what you should do and thank you for letting me bless THEM!
I have been asked to do a couple of public high schools in Western NC and of course there is no budget for that. My schedule already has the Atlanta and Bristol race, the Charlotte race and Martinsville race all as a volunteer.
So now I am thinking God is offering me a test as I get older! “TRUST ME AND DO GOOD” he said to me!
So I will continue to go to the highways and byways and compel them to come in as well as to many church services around the country. YOUR prayers and support to AGAPE MINISTRIES INC. is between you and the Lord! But you will be sowing into good soil and God will bless us all.
